Women's track and field receives double wins from Yakana and Talanoa at Illinois College

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - Inclement weather led to a smaller contingent of competitors competing at Friday evening's women's track and field meet at Illinois College. The meet was unscored, but Greenville still had five winners in the events contested.
Laila Graham won the high jump, clearing a bar set at 1.55 meters.
Sara Yakana secured victories in the long jump with an attempt of 5.50 meters and 200 meter dash with a time of 26.33 seconds.
Talahiva Talanoa posted wins in the shot put and weight throw. Talanoa threw the shot 13.26 meters and achecived a mark of 17.62 meters in the weight throw.
The Panthers will return to action at the SLIAC championships on Saturday, Feb. 24, at Principia.
