Women's track and field receives 11th place finish from 4x100 meter relay as national championships launch
The women's track and field team sent five women to the NCAA Division III national championships to compete in events as the week concludes. On Thursday, the 4x100 meter relay squad consisting of Taylor Tucker, Laila Graham, Jocelyn Fritz, and Sara Yakana posted an overall finish of 11th with a time of 46.95 seconds in their heat.

On Thursday, the 4x100 meter relay squad consisting of Taylor Tucker, Laila Graham, Jocelyn Fritz, and Sara Yakana posted an overall finish of 11th with a time of 46.95 seconds in their heat.
The team ran in the first of two heats and crossed the finish line seventh.
On Saturday, GU's remaining entries will compete. Talahiva Talanoa will participate in the first flight of the hammer throw at 11 a.m. CT, and Yakana qualified for the first flight of the triple jump event at 1:45 p.m. CT.
