Women's track and field takes three event titles in Carthage meet
The women's track and field team dominated in their meet at Carthage, bringing home three event titles and two second-place finishes!
KENOSHA, Wis. - The women's track and field team dominated in their meet at Carthage. The Panthers brought home three event titles and two second-place finishes!
How it Happened:
In the 55m hurdles, TyKiaza Jones took first with an 8.24s, while Jocelyn Fritz had a first-place finish in the 200m, running a 26.87s.
Fritz also placed sixth in the 55m with a 7.46s.
Talahiva Talanoa excelled in the weight throw and shot put, taking first in the weight throw with an 18.45m mark. In shot put, she placed second with a 13.50m throw.
Giving the Panthers another second-place finish, Kenzie Kurdys posted a 3.75m in the pole vault.
Anna Beth Vancil took fourth in the high jump with her 1.51m.
Up Next:
The Panthers will be represented by Vancil and Talanoa in the NCAA Division III Indoor Nationals next weekend. Both athletes punched their ticket with their many great performances throughout the season!
