Women's track and field starts outdoor season at WashU
The women's track and field team faced some tough competition at the WashU Invite but still placed really well! The Panthers placed seventh overall with four top-three finishes!
ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The women's track and field team faced some tough competition at the WashU Invite but still placed really well! The Panthers placed seventh overall with four top-three finishes!
How it Happened:
Talahiva Talanoa placed second in all of her events, throwing a 53.85m in hammer. In discus, she threw a 43.55m and a 13.31m in shotput.
GU's 4x100 team took a third-place spot, posting a 48.12. Jocelyn Fritz, TyKaiza Jones, Jazmyn Harmon, and Taylor Tucker were all contributors.
Kenzie Kurdys also had a good showing, placing fourth in pole vault with a 3.50m.
Ella Ray and Anna Beth Vancil stood in fifth place in their events. Ray posted a 45.87m in hammer, while Vancil had a 1.56m high jump.
In the 100m dash, Fritz ran a 12.28s to take sixth, while the 4x400 team also placed sixth.

The Panthers run at Illinois College next Friday.
