Greenville landed in the top three for the conference preseason polls across all fall sports.

The men's cross country team took the 15th place team position of 31 teams at the NCAA Midwest Regional on Saturday. Gianni Estrada placed 45th with a time of 25:30.

It was a historic day for Gianni Estrada in leading the Greenville University men's cross country team to their eighth consecutive SLIAC Championship. Estrada captured his fourth consecutive title, becoming the first runner in conference history to accomplish that feat.

The men's cross country team finished second at their own Greenville Classic on Friday afternoon at the Hillsboro Country Club. The Panthers earned 55 points in the meet and ranked second only to Heartland who scored 26 points.

The men's cross country team earned ninth place of 21 teams at Wartburg on Saturday. Gianni Estrada finished as Greenville's number one runner with an eight kilometer time of 26:26.

The men's cross country team was led by Gianni Estrada in their meet at Illinois State on Friday afternoon. Estrada lead Greenville with 77th place overall and a time of 27:22.

The men's cross country team opened their season with a meet at Washington-St. Louis. The Panthers were second in the meet with a team score of 50 points.

Gianni Estrada and Cayden Sharp have been selected as the 2022-23 SLIAC Athletes of the Year. The award is presented to one male and one female athlete from conference-sponsored sports regardless of academic standing and voted on by league Sports Information Directors.
